I gave Google Analytics a try, but it doesn’t work for me. It’s far too specialised on marketing goals and clicks to make sense. I am interested in seeing where people come from and what they view — I don’t even have click-through goals.
This will be important especially once the birds section is up and running. I still don’t know what I’m going to do for site searches, but if there is a permitted/ethical way of using Google for that (besides hot-linking their search with a “+site:kjwcode.com”, which they may not like too much) I’ll want to make sure I’m getting good crawl coverage.
